Who are we?

Mash Media is a magazine publisher and event organiser specifically for the events industry. We produce five magazines (Exhibition News, Conference News, Access All Areas, Exhibition World and Conference & Meetings World) and run a large number of events including International Confex, Confex North, The Event Production Show, The PA Show and The Festival & Outdoor Event Show.

What Information will we collect
In order for Mash Media to run its events and magazine subscriptions smoothly and efficiently, we need to collect and process an amount of data about you. This data we collect is listed below

Contact Information
Mash Media will collect name email address and contact information in order to send transaction emails for subscriptions and events and in addition marketing material which you have chosen to receive from Mash Media

Question and Answer Data
When you register for any of the events which are operated by Mash Media, Mash will collect your answers to a selection of questions which are pertinent to the event.

Order Information
If you are required to purchase a subscription or make an event booking, Mash Media will need to collect and process billing information in order to complete these transactions

Payment Checking data
Mash Media does not handle your card details but will receive tokenised responses from your card issuer which may reveal fraudulent or declined transactions.

System information
while using our services your IP address will be disclosed to our systems and retained in activity logs.

We will keep a record of all communication which is sent to you from both our subscription services and event registration systems. We may also retain information about communications which have been set to you from services such as the event meetings tool.

If you attend an event which is operated by Mash Media your attendance capacity (Visitor, Exhibitor etc) and the time at which you entered the event will be processed by Mash Media.

How is your information used?
The information provided to us while using our systems is used solely for the purpose of facilitating the running of that service. Your data may also be used in order for us to analyse trends and statistics to enable us to improve our service to you. Unless you have instructed us otherwise, we will be in touch from time to time to make sure your information and preferences are correct.

Who has access to your information?
Mash Media does not share your data with anyone who does not need it in order to facilitate the services we are delivering to you. Mash Media uses a number of third parties in order to provide you the best possible experience and undertakes all relevant checks and due diligence to ensure that your data will be processed in full accordance with the law.

Your data will be shared with a number of parties which are required in order to fulfil your expectation of our services. For example, your name and address details will be shared with our mailing provider in order to fulfil magazine subscriptions in the post, or our registration provider will collect relevant event and attendance data on our behalf.
